Our organization is committed to bringing players what belongs to players: the feeling of importance on and off the field. We care about each player because we are also players. Our Story

It was 2005, and I was invited to play in a casual soccer match with friends. After our game, I asked some of my teammates if they met every week to play. The answer was a resounding “Yes!”

From then on, Sunday afternoons became my day to play soccer. This was on top of the three other teams I was already playing with. I guess you could say that I’m rather passionate about the sport.

It was at that point I started thinking: people just want to get out and kick a ball around in their free time, but Calgary is a big city and they may not know many other players or where to go for a pickup game. Shortly thereafter, I found an available field (a difficult task in Calgary), and began booking drop-in games on Friday nights for the winter indoor season.

The Drop-In Soccer Story

We continued to play indoor soccer for the next three winter seasons. The popularity of the drop-in game rapidly grew. Not wanting to turn people away, I added more days, organized both indoor and outdoor games, and included even more people. Little did I know, it was just the beginning of DROPINSOCCER.COM. Today, we are Calgary’s only organized indoor and outdoor drop-in soccer group for anyone aged 16 and up, no matter your skill level.
